So we have to be creative and find a different venue for Corinne’s parties, since she was born in the middle of winter. And I adore our home, but a banquet hall it is not. We 100% failed to take into account that when you add up our family and close friends, the total tops thirty. Or, as she likes to say-a whole hand! When we decided to have children, we thought we’d never have to have a super “big” party, we’d just invite family and close friends over, and on the “big” birthdays (5, 10, 13, 16, etc.), we’d throw the kids parties for their friends. I thought it would take 2-3 hours tops but I ended up doing it for 5 hours (if you have a less complicated design or aren't painting the background it will take less time).On February 15, my oldest daughter turned five years old. Through many trials and errors I got to the final product and could not be happier about how it turned out. One of my favorite quotes from Tangled is "Best Day Ever" so I thought it would be fun to paint "Best Year Ever" because senior year is hopefully going to be the best ever. However I was skeptical that I had the skills to make it accurate looking. I really wanted to paint the sun from Tangled because it's my favorite movie. As a Disney Lover, I knew my spot had to have a nod to my love of Disney.
